
Preston Mitchell is a Professor of Accounting in the New Mexico State University College of Business and a New Mexico-licensed CPA who teaches from real operating experience as a founder and operator of companies across southern New Mexico.

Professor Mitchell teaches ACCT 2110 (Introduction to Financial Accounting), ACCT 2120 (Introduction to Managerial Accounting), and ACCT 351 (Accounting Information Systems). He connects accounting principles to the day-to-day realities of running a business: systems, cash, inventory, and internal controls, drawn from companies he actually operates.
